I just got a new Ride Machete and some new Burton Motos, hoping to use my old Ride FX bindings. Unfortunately my boots dont fit in my bindings so i need some knew ones. I don't know much about gear (especially about bindings) so i need so help picking them out. Im going to be using this setup for mostly park stuff. What are some things to look for when i pick out bindings? I know that some are flexible and some arent, but what does that mean in terms of performance. Also, i bought my boots because they were the most comfortable, but are these good (or decent) for freestyle riding? Thanks.

Burton Moto's are their bottom line boot. That being said, it's not about the price point, it's about what feels good to you personally. Most people underestimate the importance of a good fitting boot.

Depending on your budget, (if you have one) most people around here or anywhere this year will tell you that the Rome 390 Boss is this years premier freestyle binding. However those are going to be pushing your budget if you're a newer rider, and you certainly don't need the 390's.

Excellent Brands Include:
Rome
Union
Burton

I'll throw my vote towards Rome, for a freestyle binding with a cushy smooth plush ride.

I've heard the cartel's aren't great for park because they have a lot of forward-lean, which you can't adjust far back enough to get a good park feel. Its good for riding the mountain because it keeps your legs forward and your knees bent, but not so good for park.

that's just what I heard though, plenty of people ride park with the cartels and are happy with them, but I decided not to get them for that reason
