I need new bindings in the $70 range; also I would like to know if their are any advantages to have toe straps or just regular straps

Not so much for that price range. But get yourself a set of Burton Customs Burton Custom Snowboard Binding from Backcountry.com These were my first bindings. They're $160 but you'll have them for a long time. I finally got a new set of bindings this season. My other set of customs I've rode for 6 years. If you don't want to spend $160. Check ebay or craigslist and get last years model.

Where are you riding at?

I found a pair of flow flite 1 the 2008 model brand new for about 40$ dollars is that worth
