2011 Burton Customs vs. 2011 Burton Cartels - Snowboarding Forum

Ok..sorry to start another thread on bindings but the other is jacked up and obsolete.
These bindings will go on a 2011 Ride Machete 152.

I bought the Customs and mounted them, but am now having second thoughts about trying something else. I held the Cartels and played with them, they are lighter than the Customs, but al ratchets felt smooth. I played with the Ride EX (at one time a consideration) and thought ratchets were sticky and not as smooth as the Burtons, so now I will stick to Burton.

So do I retun the Customs for the Cartels s the question at hand. Money is not an issue between the two, but because it cost more doesnt mean it will perform any better for me.(intermediate/advanced rider)

So Cartel owners or Custom owner, should I get the Cartel for exactly what beneficial reasons to me?

you want to talk ratchets then get flux bindings

If you will using this board primarily for the park/freestyle, stick with the customs. If you are doing mostly freeriding and would like a stiffer more responsive binding, get the cartels.

If you can't really decide between the two, maybe you should get a Mission. Kind of right in between the two.
