Binding Size Question

First of all I am new to this site, so I apologize if this is a dumb question.

When I was much smaller, I bought a 138 cm board, and road it on family vacations, but have not ridden in a few years. I am now 6'0 and weigh about 160 lbs and am looking for a new board. I live in Georgia, so I am only able to ride a few times a year, so I am not looking to spend a lot of money at all. I have found a used board that is 157.5 and want to buy it. I am wondering if I should be able to take the bindings (basic strap-in bindings) off my old board and put them on a bigger one. I have tried the bindings on with the boots I have, and everything fits great. I am just unsure whether or not there should be a problem with the bindings fitting on a bigger board.
