Cool Newbie - Stance questions...

Never been Snowboarding at all. Just recently was gifted what seems to be a nice setup. No clue really.

I have the following...

Board: 2009 Burton Blunt 161
Bindings: 2011 K2 Sonic
Boots: 2011 K2 Boa Raiders

I'm about 5' 10" 185lbs with size 11 foot.

What I don't know:
1. Stance width
2. Angles
3. Which end is nose/tail

What I do know (well 95% sure):
1. I'm goofy

Now I know many people have their own preferences. I'm just curious on what you all believe would be the optimal setup for a first timer like me. Also, thoughts on my setup? Curious

Thanks

I would go with about a 22-23" stance width and +12 in the front foot, -9 in the back to start off with. Your inseam will play a bigger role in stance width. After you start getting comfortable start play with the settings and find the narrowest and widest you can go and then find a happy medium point.

For question three typically the board will have writting on the top sheet for the board size. The nose will be in the direction of the top of the lettering.

Wow, thanks for the quick reply. I pulled out the screw driver and noticed that is exactly how I have it setup. Thanks
