How the hell are flatheads better then Philips? The Philips bit was invented because straight-bits plain suck, while it's less likely to strip you have no torque force. It's too bad they don't use square-bits or star-bits more often, I never ever strip those type of screws in construction.

Yeah but for the sake of mounting bindings you can apply more than enough torque with any type of screw driver, and I wouldn't go as far as saying you have "no torque force" with a flat head. Afterall they were invented to avoid over torquing.
