Hey guys, kinda a newbie so take it easy on me, just had a question on whether or not buying used bindings is a good idea, and if it is, what to look for when purchasing a used binding.

More specifically, a local shop has used 2010 Ride Contrabands and Nitranes both for sale @$100. I've been told that they've both only been used <8 times last season and from a visual inspection they have some scuffs, scratched paint/graphics and the ladder was a little worn. Is there a way to tell if they've been abused to the point where they're not really good anymore? Should I worry about the worn ladders?

**EDIT: Just in case, the bindings should both fit my boots (Nitranes are L, other is M, boot is 9), and I'm looking to buy Rossignol Scope (http://www.the-house.com/9859rosc9zz...nowboards.html)
