I just picked up a NS Heritage X and was looking at the targas and the double agents for bindings. Would these be a suitable match to the heritage and myself? I am looking for a do-it-all binding that'll hold up to my 240lb fat ass.

Targas, 390's, whatever the replace for the K2 Formula is (it's a bargain), Ride bindings. Several companies will make a binding that will work for you.

I know a lot of fat people that love Flow bindings for the comfort and ease of entry. These are consistently the most comfortable bindings for me. These are what I own, but in the 2010 version(I'm 5'9 185lbs though ):

Flow NXT-FSE Mens Snowboard Bindings 2011

They are fairly stiff so it will be a good match to the Heritage.

The Double Agents are sick as well. Very adjustable bindings.

Ride Double Agent Snowboard Bindings 2011

A good alternative to the Double Agents are the SPI's.

Some other good bindings for you:

K2 Auto Ever - stiff and responsive. Set up takes time to dial in, but once you do, it's very easy to strap in as the toe strap tightens as you crank the ankle strap down.

Rome Targa - The 2011 version comes with their Yes I Cant system which gives you three cant bed options with varying degrees of canting that you can mix and match. Very comfortable once you find the right setting especially if you have a wider stance

The SPI, Double Agent, and Targas all have inserts that allow you to customize the flex of the ankle strap.

im 290lbs and have used flows for 4-5 years now. I have 2 pairs and both still work great. I just gave one of my pairs to my son and I am going to upgrade to the NXT bindings. I have the cheap ones.....

240 isn't all that heavy....

Honestly, I would say go with the Union Force if you want something that will surely hold up.

With that weight, a canted footbed is also something you may pay attention to.

I'm not a small guy and my next bindings will probably be Rome Targa or Ride Alpha MVMNT. Currently run Ride NRc and absolutely love them. They're started to show a lot of wear though... I've got almost 50 days on them

Thanks for all the responses fellers, I greatly appreciate it. The flows look awesome but $350...out of the Flows/targas/DAs, which have the best quality/longevity out of the bunch?

Hard to say. The FSE is a new model from 2010. Flow also tends to vastly improve over a couple of seasons.

Ride's Double Agent is brand new for 2011. Ride does have a very solid reputation as being dependable.

Rome has had up and downs. This year, they are headed back up. I have the 390 Boss that came out this year. I've had minor issues like paint chipping and ratchet releases being loose. Paint chipping I don't care about, the ratchet issue could just be a fluke. Slapping my release tab down to make sure it's fully locked has gotten rid of my strap releasing problem for now. I'm confident Rome will warranty my bindings if need be anyway so no big worries. Otherwise, loooooove love love the bosses.
