someone... the ABC's of bindings please?

What do I look for in a binding and any suggestions for someone that has NO CLUE lol?

172 lbs
don't see myself doing any park stuff
west coast groomers for now :)
boot: burton coco size 9 (women's)
board: not yet...
budget: flexible but between 600-1000 for board and binding, of course less is better but I'm a seasons pass holder that lives 30 minutes from a large resort so it's worth it for me to splurge on
some good equipment.

Oh and what's the deal with the high-backs? How far are you supposed to lean them?

Like i said... no clue lol

Fit your boots to your bindings to make sure they are a good match up.

Really, the flex in most women's bindings is pretty similar, so you're going to be looking more for comfort and functionality. Look for bindings that have comfortable straps and ratchets that slide easily. Don't buy the cheapest binding in any line-up.

I love love love my Rome Madisons.

Lots of love for : Burton Escapade, Union Trilogy, Flux GU30, K2 Auto Agogo

Well to start, if your going into more parkish features then a high back with more flex for freedom is what you want, if your going to bomb hills/shred pow then a stiffer high back for more precise control. For you, id think probably suggest an mid flex one for all mountain. But i don't know a whole lot about womens equipment so thats just general. The most important thing though, get bindings that fit and match the boot. And don't cheap out and get the cheapest bindings you can find. Varying on the bindings you'l regret it.

Hope that helps you.
Sorry if there is any mistakes in this, i'm pretty tired right now.
