Just got a Bataleon Goliath (Thanks David_z!) and am looking for bindings to match. I will be doing about 70/30 split between All-mountain/park. What I am looking at right now is Rome Targa and Ride SPi. I have heard good things on both, but haven't really heard much of a head to head aside from the Rides are a little more stiff. Anyone got any opinions or recommendation for alternatives? Thanks!
I can get used (older, like 2009 Targas) for cheap, or 2011 Rides for ~170 new (price match evo =]) |

Spi would be stiffer anyway. Go Spi, if you really need freeride performance. Once you think, it's still ok for you, once you get this, you'd say: Wow, that's way stiffer, then i expected. So my vote is for Targas in your case. But personally i'd take Spi of this.

The Targas and SPi's are pretty similar in flex, with the Targas being slightly softer IMO. Both bindings have adjustable ankle straps, but only the SPi has canted footbeds (although the 2011 Targas do have canting). I personally ride 2011 Targas as my all-mountain binding (70% mountain, 30% park as well). I'd say go for the Targas if you don't feel the need for canted footbeds.

both great choices. My boot wont go all the way down on the spi this is with the highback all the way back, i was still ready to buy them when i saw the plastic on the toe strap tore off and these were new at store and wondered how durable they would be. I also have the 2011 targas and if you buy new go with targas also because rome customer service is top notch, they will replace mostly anything that goes wrong not that much will.

I am thinking of sacrificing some extra saved money and getting the rides. However, does anyone who own these have an opinion on their size? I have a size 11.5 K2 Darko Boot and it is right above the maximum size 11 for the larges. It seems like these boots are a little bulky as well. Should I still get the larges, or bump up to the XL?

Sadly not for another two weeks and I have a slope right outside post I would like to hit during next week/weekend
That is why I was hoping someone had an idea of size! I guess the worst comes to worst I can just exchange it out...
