Ride VXN binding

I wear a size 7.5 Salomon F22 boots, I was trying it on with the RIDE VXN bindings that I just got and for the life of me, I cannot unlatch the toe rachet! I remember when I first fit it in, i had trouble pulling the lever to release the rachet but this time it is completely stuck.

I dont' know if I should keep this VXN, if I'm up on the mountain and I cannot release it and get stuck, I'll be very pissed. I am used to the rental burtons and I never have this problem...

If I rather go with burton, which one?

Ride rachets take some breaking in before they get smooth.

OK... and I'm not pushing the thing in to pull it out, my fault.

I have 09 Ride VXns, good bindings other than that the ratchets still get sticky, which is annoying. Wasn't sure if it was just the pair I had, thought Ride would have addressed that problem with their newer models.

My '02 VXNs were also a bit sticky. Doesn't seem like something that Ride will ever fix.

Yeah, my VXn ratchets were a bit sticky, but got better over time. They were, however, much better than some other bindings in the same price range (Burton Stilettos were HORRIBLE). I highly recommend Rome Madisons.

One Question, What size is your VXN bindings? I am about buying a pair of Ride VXN bindings for my wife but can't decide what size to get for her. She has a Salomon F22 boots size 7.5 as well.

Your reply will be greatly appreciated..

I got the medium. Try them out first though... my 2010 VXN binding is very difficult to release the rachet, but i found an 2009 model from REI and has no problem.
