So i broke my bindings(just some random bindings that came on the used board i bought) and i needed bindings for the weekend(wich was the next day) so i had about 12 hours to get new bindings, stores were startibg to close and i was limited to dicks sporting goods. It was 10 minutes before they closed so i ran in and grabed the first set of bindings that would fit a 10 and left. Got home ajdusted them to the 10 setting(they were small so
Ething didnt seem right) but i couldnt do anything about it cuzz now all stores were closed and it was either broken bindings or small ones. So i wake up in the morning toss everything in the car go shred and everyting was well. I thought about taking the bindings back so i took them off the board and noticed the toe strap could be adjusted forward one notch so i did it and it gave me a little more room but still the binding was to slim compared to my wide boot but i was sore so i gave up. Well tonight i went back to dicks to get some gloves i saw that night and a pair of long socks, i glanced at the shelf were my bindings were and noticed the entire shelf had womens things on it, and the shelf below was men. So when i got home i checked my box and sure enough womens bindings....and to top it off they are white! So now i need to attempt to clean them up and exchange them. Morale of the story, take your time when buying things and look at all the labels, jeeze i felt so dumb. Any one else ever fail this bad? |

My first pair of bindings were burton citizens because the cunt at Scheels didn't know (or care) that they were women's bindings... but my girlfriend uses them now... so - small victories.
for the record, completely unrelated, I really hate burton bindings.. but I just can't seem to get away from them.

Yea the guy at the counter of dicks inspected the hole box inside and out to make sure there was nothing extra, didnt even bother telling me they were womens, u fortunatly i dont have a gf who boards or a gf for that matter but the thought crossed my mind that if i did have one id give em to her(valentines day gift lol).
I think the part that makes me feel most dumb is i was becomeing so frustrated that i was actually cursing at k2 for making bindings that didnt fit there one boots lol. |

The only thing I got out of this post...
Moral of the the story: Never buy snowboard gear from Dick's. ![]() Sorry, I'm still bitter about my Jacket purchase from them in 2007. I joined their club so expected my sales records to remain intact (clerk told me it would be in their system). Fast forward to last year, I needed a copy of my purchase to warranty my lifetime jacket and they told me that they did a system update and wiped their records clean. So much for joining their little club. |
