Ride spi binding and customer support
Hi all, I'm new to the forum and I'm trying to find some info. I recently purchased a pair of ride spi bindings from a shop in Les Arcs, France. On my first day out with them, after about 3hrs riding, I was walking back to our apartment when my wife noticed something fall from my board, it turned out to be one of the screws that hold the base plate and back of the binding together, on closer inspection all 4 screws had come loose and the plastic logo on the highback had fallen off. Only a small thing but they were brand new. I decided to add a little lock tight and tighten them up, In doing this the plastic washer on one side split and on the other side broke into two. Is this a common problem with ride binding or is this just me? I tried to take them back to the shop but he refused to refund me and bodged them together with other parts saying this was the best he could do as "ride would not refund him" Is this how ride operate or am I being fobbed off by the french? Surely if a product is faulty I'm entitled to a refund or replacement. Does anyone have any ideas is to where to go from here? Will ride replace them directly or I'm I stuck with bodging up my 200 euro binding? Not happy.
