mini disk benefits

What is the benefit to the mini disk?

I would assume it allows the user to have slightly more control, yet a bit less responsive. Less responsive as in loss of leverage, more control as in board flex based more on user action.

Is it better on a rocker between bindings or the camber between bindings?, Better for edge control?

I think the 2011 Raidens have this and the 2012 Rides will as well if I am not mistaking.

Am I making sense? please discuss...

"more" board flex. Really the "best" thing is that the disc is often one of the heaviest components of a binding. So mini's are lighter.

Didn't feel a difference in the Rides cause they're still all metal. Raidens are just a hair softer side to side.
