Default Thoughts on Burton Cartels?

Hey guys, i'm really considering getting the 2011 Burton Cartels. I am new to snowboarding, just recently got my braking and turns down really solid. I'm getting a ride agenda and a pair of burton rulers and am looking for a nice pair of bindings. I was looking at the union forces but since I wear an 11 boot (10 with size reduction of the rulers), it is really hard for me to decide if I should get L/XL or M/L in the forces. And the forces are very hard to find this time of year and are all 200 dollars, opposed to the cartels 170 dollars.

Any complaints or compliments?

I had a pair that i rode from about 05-07, really, i have nothing bad to say about them, you can ride them in the park, or crank the forward lean and they are stiff enough to race on groomers, they'll be a decent match to your Rulers too.

Bottom line = They're good. Get them.

Cool thanks. I got the rulers in white/red/black and I will get the cartels in the acid color (white and red) so it should look pretty sick.

Haha, they don't have to match dude, you could go with black or something.

I know, but I like the colors anyway. And it is really the only color in stock since everything is selling out because of all the great deals this time of year.

Agreed, defiantly on the stiffer side.

I just got them and tested them this past weekend. All I have to say is that I'm loving them so far. Very responsive, felt comfortable all around while just riding groomers or hitting some park and definitely durable quality.

Also, I managed to snatch the '11 white ones for $140 so you might be able to find them a bit cheaper as well.

Yeah you can find good deals on them - i picked up a set of 2011's black for 120$ off gear trade and they came in perfect condition.

I love mine for the price they couldnt be beat, and the new toe cap is nice.
