Rome 390 s/m with size 9 Burton Hails...

Does anyone know if the new Burton Hails size 9 will fit Rome 390 s/m bindings?

I just purchased some 390s in s/m and my old Hails from 2008 are a tad too wide for the binding, eventhough the rome website says a s/m should fit a size 4 to 9.5 boot. I like the flex of the Hails and was thinking about getting the new 2011 Hails in size 9 since Burton has introduced shrinkage tech since the older version.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Will the width of the boot be ok to sit in the base baseplate? I already know the l/xl 390s will fit size 9 hails but I would like to keep the s/m if possible. Plus, I can't find the l/xl 390s in acid color anywhere...
