Question Mongrel Bindings

If money was no issue i might not ask but does anyone know if Burton cap straps can fit in union bindings money is tight and here in NZ it looks like I can upgrade my bottom end unions with an 80 dollar toe strap. I got on fairly well with my unions last season they go real well with my battaleon goliath. I did get some foot pain but i'm retiring my 8 year old 32's so new boots should fix this.

In short does mixing straps between binding makes work?

Its possible and fairly popular. Don't do it. Them bindings aren't worth $80. Save and get something better in 2013.
