Im on the fence between rome targas and rome 390 bosses. I've been pretty set on getting the targas, especially hearing that the toe strap is improved from previous years. However, people have really been talking up the 390 bosses for all mountain. I'm doing mostly freeriding, some park (jumps, no jibbing really). What do you think?

The typical pairing would be the Targas since it's a stiffer binding for the stiffer all mountain deck in the T-Rice.
You can obviously go either way, so it just depends on how stiff you like your bindings. I actually ride the Trice with an older pair of 390s on it, but I definitely plan on getting something stiffer before next year...maybe the targas. |

I have the t rice, and was supposed to have targa bindings but for some reason the shop only had 2 right bindings and i have had to use the 390 boss' until some targas come in. now i just got back from the slopes yesterday (Aus) and while the 390's were super comfy they were no where near stiff enough for me and i ride all mountain. but i do weigh 270 so that wil probably have something to do with it. hope this helps

Targas all the way. You can adjust the flex on the ankle strap so that will give you some play when you need it.
Sounds like you're gunning for the 2012 models. The conformist 3.0 toe strap is yummy. |
