New Binding help

I just ordered a new 2011 Burton hero that's 134 cm. I need new bindings since my old Burton customs broke. I've looked around and am interested mostly in Union, Rome, and maybe Flux. I ride in the park 95% of the time and like to hit rails and kickers. I've heard great about the Union Contacts for jibbing, but don't know about jumps. My customs seemed a little stiff for me too. Was wondering if anyone's used the Union Flites or heard about them. Please HELP ME!!!

I feel like Flux and Rome don't make M6 conversion discs... Or maybe just Rome doesn't... not sure.

on that thing just get some Custom EST's or Cobra Sharks.

Why? Have you ridden them? I have, lots of different ones. They're overrated. I know Flow makes a conversion disc. Fives or Quattro's will match well with the Hero. I think Flux does too, so try RK30's.

I had a pair of Union Contacts and I blew out the mounting discs doing nothing but jibbing. I think the contact pattern on them (hence the name) allows the board flex to destroy the discs, where a normal full contact baseplate would take up some of the load. They should really go to a hinged mounting disc like Forum uses for that binding.

So if you had to chose between Union Contacts, Union Flites, Union DLX's or Rome 390's what would you chose? and can anyone tell me more about the Union Flite???

Flite has its own nylon DuPont Zytel baseplate. It's really a value binding, where the DLX is their completely value binding, the Flite has some of the tech from their flagship bindings.

I personally rode Union Force, Force-SL's and Contacts and I got to try the Contact Pros. I think they make solid, durable (except for the mounting discs) no frills bindings on a proven platform, the Zytel nylon fiberglass injection baseplates. But for the money, you can get bindings with better features, better straps, better ratchets elsewhere.

I like the Rome Targa and Raiden 1 piece bindings. I may try 390 Boss this year and I'm considering Ride as well.
