I know there's quite a few threads but as is usually the way, I'm more confused now than I was before and I seem to be finding some contradictory views (surprise).

So are Burton Cartels stiffer or softer than Targas? I assumed that Cartels are softer but now I'm reading threads that make them sound comparable. I had always assumed that C02s were the more comparable binding to the Targas as far as stiffness.

Cartels
Missions
Ride Beta
Union Forces

I had assumed that I'd be getting a pair of Rome 390s for my new Proto, but then when I started reading that Targas were possibly the same as Cartels, I'd rather go that way. Since I'm used to a stiffer binding in the Co2, the Cartels are plenty soft for me, and are on my Horrorscope right now. I had to take the Unions off, couldn't deal with them. But as far as stiffness, the Forces would also be around what I'm looking for in highback stiffness.

Anyway, thanks for any insight, particularly those who can make a comparison based on the ones I've tried so far from the list above. Its a bit hard to imagine something without have it compared to something you've ridden. Sorry if there is an answer there somewhere, I wasn't able to find it after a couple hours.
