So I have narrowed down my binding selection for this season. Currently I am riding some Ride bindings from 2008 with upgraded toe straps. My board is a K2 Jibpan 153. I would say that I ride everything but I am still learning. Enjoy making turns more than being in the park all day but I do plan to up my park game this year.
That being said here is what I have narrowed down to. 1. K2 "The Company". I like the canted footbeds, new frame, highback and harshmellow plus the baby blue is steezy 2. K2 "National". Has most of the features of "The Company" but with autostrap and a urethane high back. The urethane high back worries me as it sounds pretty flexy for an all mountain binding. Plus I have heard mixed reviews on the autostrap. Being a midwest guy I think the quick in/out would be beneficial as our hills are tiny. 3. Rome "390 Boss". I have heard nothing but good things about this binding. It has the canted footbeds which I like but I have heard that it sits higher off the board and you lose some feel. Which I really like the feel of the jibpan and would hate to lose that. So what do you guys think? I know your going to say hit up a shop and check them out but pretty much no shop around these parts are carrying "The Company" so a side by side is impossible. The only review so far on that binding is by Angry and he sounded pretty positive about it which is encouraging. |

Thanks Leo, but I am hoping to make a move before the season gets rolling. I had a lot of issues with the Rides last season and want to start out fresh. If I don't decide by then though we will hook up so I can check them out. |

I have last years bosses and love em. they're a bit shoddy on the paint finish quality, but who really cares if a little shiny paint chips off after a long day of riding. They look like they've been used, but i have had no mechanical faults at all. All the straps and rachets are excellently made, and they are SUPER comfy. Great binding. I wish they had brought back the blue and white again though!!

Seriously asshat, they might share the same building, might, but that doesn't mean they don't focus on snowboarding. Have you ridden Indy's? Formulas? Nationals? Hurrithanes? Companies? Then shush.
