2012 cartelss vs 2012 boss 390s

Im torn bettween these two binding has any one tried the 2012 model in both? also some info on which sizes to get would be great? im currently riding union force l xl with size 10 burton hail boots and they are as tight as possible and on the last step on the latter and it really shits me some time i wish i could just crank it one or two more times. i would really love to have some adjustment room both ways. any help would be great. thanks in advanced.

Adjustment just depends on making sure you buy the right size.

As far as which binding you should buy, how do you feel about forward lean? Do you prefer a really aggressive forward lean or no forward lean and what do you ride?

You should be aware that the cartels typically have more forward lean than other bindings, so if you don't like forward lean I wouldn't buy them.

^I agree with the above poster...but one thing to note is that the cartel's forward lean is much more tame for this year as compared to prior years. Probably also due to the fact the high backs are shorter than those crazy "team skybacks" that would reach to the back of your knees

2012 cartels dont have any built in forward lean. 390's seem a bit more flexible too. i was having this debate the other day, decided on the 390's i think.

as for the sizing the l xl is right in the zone for size 10 my buddy has 9.5 in the same boot so i told him to get the smaller binding and when they arived they were too small for his boots its like if your between 9-11 your forgoten a bit about which is weird cos they are the most popular sizes. ive heard other people complaining of this too.... i would just hate to make the same mistake again.

as for the forward lean that is why i asked specifically about the 2012 cartel as this year it has none.

as for what i ride.... i love everything but like most people i get lazy and probly end up spending 60-70 percent of the time in the park. i also ride 100+ days a year so durability is a big issue. ive got 240 days out of my union forces and with the exception of replacing one ratchet they are as good as new i would love if my next bindings are near the same.(i hade a pair of ride mvmts that were done after about 70days.)

For sizing you should just take your boots in when you buy your bindings. Any good store should let you check the size of the binding on your boot before buying em.

I forgot about the new highbacks, I did ask a friend who has them and he said they're a lot more comfy (but he doesn't like forward lean). Honestly, I think both are decent bindings, I'd lean towards the 390s though as I've had problems with the Burton latches before (although it's a simple fix that many shops will replace for free).
