Im trying to get a pair of binding for what I think will be my next board the Arbor Westmark
Iv never been super big on K2 but the National does look pretty sick and I need a canted foot bed and as we all know the 390 boss is an all around really good binding. I hit alot of jumps and do alot of rail / slope style comps and I dont know much about K2 so please help another thing is whats with nitro machines? also if theres another canted binding out there thats not ride please share and I really just like jumps! size 9-9.5 boots thanks I need Canted because iv ridden ride contrabands with 4.0 wedges for the past 3 seasons and I think it will take me off my game if I dont have somewhat of a cant. The national also matches the Westmark perfectaly so it just won style points! |

Only thing about the nationals is that tweakback. Do you like urethane backs? If you do and are comfortable jumping them then I would personally pick those over 390's. Harshmellow is like supah dupah rad. Those would have been on my radar for sure if K2 straps fit me right, but i'm one of like a billion people who can't ride their ankle straps. Its le suck.

What do you mean? With concern to the ankle strap? I like to ride wit really tight bindings is that what you mean there loose or just not conferrable? And what does a urithan high back feel like iv never ridden urithan will it effect me charging in jumps? Or does it just mean I can do more tweaks mid air?

For me the ankle strap just hits my foot wrong and causes pain. I am the only person I know of with this problem with K2, so I really wouldn't worry about it.
Urethane is just softer overall. You can't drive into it as much as nylon. It's a more skate feel. Can you jump it? Well, Jake O.E. rides no backs and recently hasn't been tying the top portion of his boots, and was still trowing big wallrides and huge gap to front lips at HD&HR. So you can, it's just a personal preferance thing. If you just don't want that highback, get Uprises. Same binding minus the Tweakback. I like softer highbacks so for me it would be Nationals.
