Union Flite on Burton Indie - Snowboarding Forum

Heya Peeps,

Just picked up my very first setup, Burton Indie and some Union Flites.

Having never put a snowboard together I am finding it hard to get the baseplate of the bindings to attach to the board.
The screw holes appear to line up, but it must be off by millimeters as the screws just don't want to go in.

I assumed this was just me inexperience at putting a snowboard together.

However some googling, I found Burton has this odd looking triangular baseplate configuration...

Does this mean I need to buy different baseplates?

Has anyone had experience with this particular setup, or one like it that could shed some light on the situation?
