2012 Burton Cartels vs Ride Maestro?

2012 Burton Cartels vs Ride Maestro? With bad knees I'm looking for as much cushioning as I can get, for shock absorption on flat landings. I like the idea of canting - I know the Maestro has wedgie footbeds, and the Cartels have "auto cant." They're going on a '12 Never Summer Proto CT.

I'll be doing about 50/50 free ride and park (mainly jumps).

Thoughts, votes? Anyone tried the Cartels with auto cant?

I have the Cartel ReFlex with Autocant, and they are good... with some issues.

I do not like how long (vertically) the ankle strap is, combined with its stiffness, mainly because I prefer a strap that lets my boot flex forward more freely without sacrificing response. The strap on the Maestro's are much thinner but the same height, vertically on the ankle strap. BUT... they are much softer and feel like they would allow more forward flex with your boot.

The Autocant on the cartels is nice, but I didn't really notice too much of a difference... they softer side (inner side) of the binding footbed is not very sturdy and mine have almost completely fallen appart after one season. Starting to shred and have already cracked.

I'd say Maestro's but then again I have never strapped into a pair- just felt them in my hands.

my $.02
