2008 Rome 390's?

Hey guys,

So a guy I'm selling my Burton to has some large/xl Rome 390's from 2008-2009 season that he wants to trade with me. I'm a size 9 boot so I'm assuming the large would work with it. I don't know how well these bindings worked back then, I just know of reviews of the 2010-2011 and the current ones. He says they're in good shape and it'll cost me about $70. Good deal? If they're junk or something, I'll gladly pass and just buy some current or last seasons or a diff. brand. I plan on putting these on my future K2 Raygun. Thought I heard that they're flexible enough to tweak grabs but also have good response for some all-mountain riding.

They are complete junk, you should just let me buy them.

Honestly, the 2008 390's, in my opinion, we're some of the best bindings ever made. I've actually been looking for them for quite some time. They are flexible, but you can still lay down some nice carves. Essentially perfect for all mountain riding, they don't come with any of the bullshit "technology" that's out all the newer bindings. All these fancy foams, highbacks, straps, ratchets, etc are a joke. I hate to sound like an old timer, but the older stuff is a lot better than the new equipment lately. Companies try to fix what isn't broken.

Haha I appreciate it, man. He sent me a stock photo of it, they look pretty cool although I'd prefer a boring white to go with my boots n' board

^^ I had the neon ones. My only complaint was the toe strap. Mine ripped on the first day out. Just be careful with them and you will be fine though. Mine got caught under my board and the edge sliced right through it.

Ahh, okay I'll be careful when skating around. Thanks! I'm going to adjust these the best I can without the snowboard(boots only) tomorrow
