Swapping Ankle Straps - Snowboarding Forum

So i did a search and couldnt come up with anything. Anyone ever take two completely different bindings from different companies and swap the ankle straps. I heard of people doing this with the toe strap.

Reason i ask is im thinking of putting my Rossi HC2000 ankle straps (oh so comfy) on my Union Forces. What would be the downside to this if any.

Ill be taking them for a spin come monday at Mountain Creek. If i have the time ill post some pics.
