A 153 will be on the short side for your "friend". Especially since the TFA is a stiff deck, not a noodle. When I rode one, it was paired up with the 2013 Union Chargers. They were a great match with the board. Any hard charging stiffer binding will match up nicely with it though. Something like a Rome Targa, or a Burton Cartel to name a couple. I'm about 195lbs right now and I rode a 160 which I found to be a comfortable length, especially with how stiff the deck is.

TT30's are a midstiff park binding. You'll want like SF45's if the TFA is really this stiff.
