Rome 390s for a beginner?
After getting one season in the books, I've decided to buy my own set of equipment. I'm done with rentals.
I'm looking for bindings to pair with a 2011 Rome Headline board and Salomon Faction Boa boots. I don't see myself hitting the park anytime soon so bindings for all-mountain are right up my alley.
My initial search led me to Burton Missions but my friend expressed concerns over the ankle strap (I later found someone on here that had the same problem).
My next search led me to Rome 390s which are apparently a much more comfortable alternative. The only issue I've seen with these is possible paint chipping. Regardless of that, would these bindings be a good choice for me?
I have a pair and while they do have a few problems they are sold binding.
Been riding a pair of 390's for 2 seasons and I really have no complaints. Straps and ratchets work fantastic, never had any problems except when conditions were extreme (extremely wet snow, or extremely cold). Good support and comfortable, the paint will chip some but who cares, just makes it look like you actually use your board.
