Hi. new to this forum.
Need some help. Feel like a goose asking this... Just got some 2012 salomon chiefs to bang on my signal omni. they look like any other mounting plate and the instructions don't indicate otherwise but the line up marks and the degree guage indicate the slots should go lengthways not up and down (perpindicular) to the centrleine of the board. Anyone mounted these???? |

Usually it doesn't matter what 90* orientation you choose for the disc. The slots make it so you can adjust forward/back or side/side.

sorry about the pics...
Did a quick drawing as the board is at home. Do the slots go east west or north south??? east west would be great so I can play with my stance a bit but not very accurate with the angle setting... |

What Nivek said.
If your boots fit in the middle perfectly, you can leave teh slots paralell to the board edge. Most likely they wont, so you put the slots perpedicular to the board edge, center your boot to the board with it strapped in, and tighten. Where the guage is doesnt matter, there are teeth 360 degrees around the plate, even if there isnt a number for each one
