Thoughts on stiff bindings

So I killed my Idioms last season when I cracked a highback mid-season. I ended up franken-binding a setup together until I got new ones. After a lot of research I had narrowed my choices down to: Flux sf45, or DMCC and Rome Targas. I wasn't able to get my hands on any of these being so late in the year and wasn't motivated enough of a buyer to order on-line. By the time the end of season sales rolled around the discounts were eh and I decided to wait to see what changes were being made. Sadly no canting for flux and the paint and weight for rome seemed unchanged.

Fast forward to this season and I'm still trying to decide between these and have added the Raiden Machine. My problem is the only ones I'm going to be able to see in person are the sf45s and targas. I don't know that there is enough of a difference to justify the dmcc over the sf45s so I think I'm decided on that. The targas are the targas so I have to decide how important canting is. The unknown for me are the raiden machine. Anyone have any experience with the machines, or thoughts on them compared to the others?

have not rode em, but just based on the carnage in other's photos of DMCCs - if you are the type that breaks/can break bindings, they will not last a season. too much coring of the baseplate.

that's about all i got.... not too helpful i know... just to throw some more confusion in the mix - you might think about something from K2, they have something sweet with the auto series...

From K2 the Companies. That's their stiffest binding. Features that work, like the ankle strap hinge. Once that is not longer a K2 patent, expect to see it on everything cause its seriously amazing. Canting and Harshmellow for the loveliness.

Machines may be one of the stiffest bindings on the market. Even from the Raiden duder, they don't even have any team dudes, including Eero, that ride that binding, cause its just that gnar (I like commas and run on sentences). So if you want something like that, get these. Canting and my favorite dampening system on the market, airbags.

Rome, don't really need to go into that. You probably know everything there is to know as they get talked about a lot.

SF45's over DMCC's unless you just want to save weight really.

I know it might be tougher to find now, but the Burton C60's are stiff as $%^&!!! If you want a small (sz 8 or less) or large (10+) there are white ones for sale by a few online vendors for roughly $280.

The highbacks are carbon fibre with an FRP structure behind it. Very stiff. I love them... Planning on pairing a set with a Kessler board if I get my hands on one.
