SP bindings

Yesterday I stumbled upon a little board store in the backstreets of Kyoto. Its run and owned by an ex pro snowboarder (Japanese circuit only). He only stocks a few brands and one of them is SP bindings.

He is not sponsored by them but rides them himself. He reckons they are very solid and super responsive bindings.

I am just interested because I have never heard of them before.

May get some new bindings this season, these could be a possibility especially as I would be able to demo them first.

Has anyone ridden these bindings?

Made by fastec, so who knows. Their Gnu bindings blow for what it's worth.

No one out there with experience with SP bindings?

SP has been around forever and is nothing special.

I bought a pair of SP mountain bindings and they failed on me on my 6th run. The ratchet literally fell off the strap, turns out they are just glued on and the glue bond failed. Ive posted pics of it on here before Im sure a search will turn up them up.
