I picked up a pair of 11-12 rome 390s a month or two ago. that year does not have the toe cap, they're just the strap (I think you guys know what I'm talking about).
has anyone had any luck swapping out the 390 boss toe strap (or any other toe strap for that matter) with a a toe cap? my old binding are burton missions, which have the toe cap but I do not know if compatibility would be an issue here. I'd really like to put a toe cap on my 390 boss's....any ideas? thanks, and apologies if this question has been posted before. EDIT: this thread got me thinking about this : http://www.snowboardingforum.com/boo...-never-go.html |

I just swapped out my Rome Arsenals for my Burton Cartels because I like the toe cap. I could have snipped off some plastic on my Cartel toe strap and stuck that in the Arsenals, but I chose to just swap the whole binding. Different bindings maybe have slightly different strap design like in my case, but easily modified to fit.

I'm an idiot. Didn't realize it but the 11-12 390 Boss toestrap can be used both ways - as a toe cap or as a more conventional "over the toe" strap. Looking at it it looks as though you could only go the conventional route but I am proved wrong per the angrysnowboarder.
Disregard this post. Thanks to those who responded. |
