Union contact or Flux tt30? anywhere below $150?
 

hi people,

first post here, im a beginner, but currently building a set up.

I plan to ride a bit of everything but will be trying freestyle.

I have a 2012 DC PBJ

Nike zoom force boots

and now have found deals on both the unione contact and flux tt30

both $150.

which ones shall I go for? ideally need to hear from people who have ridden both and can give a fair critic.

if not anyone know where I can find these in black in a size m/l cheaper than $150?

I have Union bindings. I love them, but there's one problem: I need a screwdriver to adjust anything on them besides the forward lean and the ankle strap.

I'm not sure about the flux because I haven't actually rode Flux bindings. Flux now has a similar lifetime warranty on the base plates to Union, but their bindings are toolless. I'm not sure if their lifetime warranty also applies to last season's bindings or if it's just for this season's and onward, so make sure you check that out- you might need it one day, although most people don't really care about the warranty of their gear. If it's your first setup, don't worry about it!

Contacts since you have a soft board. Otherwise the TT30s are much more stiff. If you had an all mountain set up I would say the TT30s. Just my opinion.

If it is your first setup, don't worry about what kind of riding you'll be doing. My bindings are more for park riding, but I use them for everything including powder and ice and they work fine! :thumbsup:
