Avoid union MCs
 

They are absolutely the worst thing I have ever purchased. First day with them, a bolt snaps in half, and now, probably the 10th day Iv ridden them I cracked the heel cup I don't know how... It felt funky riding, I discovered it today waxing my board ...

Time to see if the union warranty is actually trust worthy...

Honestly don't know why I bought these... Learnt a lesson today...

Aw shit, I just bought these. No good snow fall to use em though. Hopefully the warranty goes well for ya. Are these the 2013's? I know they said the 2011-2012 had issues with the heelcup. In another thread.

"Last season we had a very isolated issue with Heelcups. Those things are injected in Italy, shipped to Canada where they get Nano coated, then shipped to China for assembly. A huge pain in the butt. Basically what happened is during "step 1" of injection whoever was running the injection machine that morning didn't allow the tooling to heat up long enough. Keep in mind that we only make about 400 pairs of these. I think we estimated that 20-25 of them were faulty, which all ended up in the US. So that 25 or so pair all happened within about a 5 minute span. That's how precise things need to be."

Well I actually can't say there all bad, they "where" kick ass binding while they lasted...

I'm sure you can email C3 and explain what happen with pictures, they'll be more than happy to send you a new pair, especially if it's a known and acknowledged faulty issue. They've got a really good customer service program.

Or even PM one of the Union guys that post on SBF, Nose or Union Inhouse

We had a small issue with last year's Nano Heelcups. Looks like you got one of the bad pair.

In regards to the Aluminum hardware - Don't over tighten these. If you are worried about over tightening or the high maintenance nature of aluminum hardware, just use the steel hardware that came in your box.

Give Ron a call and ask him to cover shipping too.
