In need of bindings which brand? - Snowboarding Forum

I haven't heard much of anything bad about union at least outside of here but searching here people seem to like Ride better? Any reason to this? For a noob like me did you all mount your bindings yourself or had a shop mount them? I know my stance is a regular.

I'm going to pick my boots up today and the bindings next week.

Union, Rome, Burton, Flux, and Raiden are the companies I would look at.

don't u know this is a NS+UNION fan boy forum??

if i'm u i'll go with the union. Not that Ride is not good, but metal bindings looks awesome but i prefer other materials when it comes to bindings

I had my eye on the Union DLX seems to be ok for someone just starting out?

Any Union binding will be more then just "ok", they'll work just fine for beginners and when/if you get good you won't have to switch them out, that is, if you don't mess them up before you get good.

Nice! well that's good to hear I can almost be sure I'm going to need a large with a size 10.5 boot.

Time to go pick up the bindings tomorrow.. So if my boot size is 10.5 I need to be looking at the Large right? I'm going to bring the boots to just be sure since I have the thing saying I'm in between the sizes.

Check the company, in some bindings you might be a large. Some bindings you might be a medium. For example, Rome's just have Sm/M or Large/Xl.

Went in as soon as they opened, well they had 1 left in stock of the L/XL.. so they get the box down and only one binding in the box lol.. So I took the display model nevertheless that's done with.
