Reduced footprint in medium bindings - Snowboarding Forum

Hi,

I'm buying some new Burton boots which have the reduced footprint in size (US) 11. Burton says a size 11 can fit into a medium binding; how tight is the fitting and are the straps at the limit once tightened?

I tried medium Burton CO2s with a pair of 10.5 Driver Xs and the issue was not the straps, it was the width of the binding. I could feel it compressing my feet from the sides, and I'm pretty sure it induced some foot pain.

I ride size 11 Ions now and I would be worried about stepping down to a medium binding. See if you can try them out in a store, and see how well they fit.
