What Burton bindings are these? - Snowboarding Forum

Found these on cl, and I'm trying to see if it's a good deal or not.

They look like old ass Cartel's. I wouldn't buy em for 45 personally. That toe cap is the big tip off on age. They look at least 4-5 seasons old.

Those are old Burton Missions. The toe cap is actually pretty decent. It's the flex and ankle strap that I'd be worried about. For $50 more you could find a banger of a binding, especially with end of season sales going on right now.

You can get brand new Burton Custom's for 99, Romes for 119, (those two have been on Whiskey Militia) Forces for 99 on AllTrec, Hurrithane's for like 110, etc. etc. There's banger deals all over as Extremo said.

like others said, theres too many good deals around to waste $ on these. i got a pair of restricted reflex cartels for 140

I rode those bindings up until last year.

I'm not even sure I can give them away, forget about $45.

Have you compared Burton bindings over the last 20 years?

I have 2 diff pair of Burton Bindings that came on the Terje pro model deck "The 152" back in 1995.

They are almost the same as today's bindings, a few minor tweaks but pretty much the same.
I'm sure the materials are more high tech, but not really the design.
So the materials in those can't be that far behind.

The one thing it doesn't have is the Living Hinge™ Hi-Back.

Oh, but wait.
Neither does the Diode or Genesis, aren't they they most expensive high tech bindings that Burton makes?

Unless you like to spend more money or you can find cheaper, newer ones, Those will work exactly the same as $100, or even $200 dollar bindings.
