Forum Republic vs Burton Custom - Snowboarding Forum

Hey guys, I'm buying my new setup and these are my current options for my budget. I'm an intermediate rider doing about 70% groomer, powder, and tree runs with some small natural jumps to it and about 30% park stuff(looking to do a little more park in the future). Based on that which binding is the best for me? Open to suggestion in the $100-150 with the sales going on on dogfunk and backcountry right now,

I'm around 6'1, 165-175lbs if it matters.

I had a pair of Forum Republics a couple years ago and always enjoyed them. Definitely not a bad all around binding.

Yeah I went ahead and ordered them because of the canting system and highback. I probably should have mentioned that I will be pairing them with a Lib Tech Skate Banana. Was this a good pair? I guess I'll find out when it comes in a week or 2.

Good call on the republics. I had those before and was very happy with them.

I have a Skate Banana with the Shaka binding which is very similar to the Republic.

I like the combo except for the weight. The board and the bindings are little on the heavy side.

I also have Rossignol Angus and the 2013 Cartels Reflex. The weight difference between the two setup is very noticeable.
