No, I think if he's the problem that he appears to be, you should just ignore him. What I'm seeing lately is that he posts something and everyone immediately starts calling him names. This is generating exactly the kind of cruft that we don't want. And while I certainly don't like trolls, I also don't like members being hounded from thread to thread.

It was not a reasonable question.

Sorry Donutz, but that is just factually wrong.
While people here sometimes beat up on dcsnow, fact off the matter is that we generally do not attack him personally but rather (rightfully) criticize and slam his posts.
This thread is a case in point: Nobody was “jumping down his throad” at all. Rather, people -correctly- pointed out that the question was stupid – and still provided a link with an answer. Nobody actually attacked dcsnow directly or "called him names".

Similar for my exchanges with dcsnow since he joined the site. I have responded to many of his posts, correcting the falsehoods and nonsense that he posted. Not once did I use an ad hominem attack or insult him personally. Not a single time! The harshest thing I did was to ask him to STFU instead of posting falsehoods.

A number of other members have done the same. In spite of that he continues to post blatant falsehoods and inflammatory statements/questions. Whether he does so in order to attract attention and stir up debate (which is classic trolling) or because he does not know any better is beside the point. Fact is that his posts are not contributing at all and are potentially detrimental to the community – either by providing incorrect information to other members and/or by creating noise and wasting everybody’s time.
So even if his intention is not to troll (although by now there is a pretty clear pattern and body of evidence that it is), ignorance is not an excuse for his antisocial behavior.

No matter how full of shit he may be. He does stick to snowboard subjects and though he probably doesn't truly want advise on a purchase, you have the will power to avoid his threads as goes for everyone else that can't wait to jump on his ass.

Now as for bad advise. I think that shit should be nipped in the bud. Even goes for me. If I say shit that is wrong or off. I respect being shown or taught the correct info or tech.

He's special but he's not malicious and he is actually fun in a cartoon fashion. Don't take him so serious and have fun with the off the wall silly shit he says. Call him out and get a good laugh.

Relax guys.

That is exactly what is currently happening: He posts shit and people point out that it stinks.

Actually it was 'Nutz who got all worked up about people ganging up on dcsnow, when nobody really is - we are all just ganging up on bad advice and insidious posts.

I wish the "Hinge" were available on non-EST.

Still strongly considering Holograms if I manage to break these 'Vitas.

That is all. (on topic)

HKTRDR pretty sure people don't like half of what you post, keep whining about Dcsnow.
You sound like Sick-Pow crying for a babysitter.

And that is ok. I don't agree with all of your opinions, but I respect your posts. Another example are my exchanges with Brainwashed - we have different opinions on the Banana Magic, but that did not stop us from having a perfectly friendly and civil exchange in the thread about the Lando.

What makes dcsnow different is that he posts stuff that is so blatantly wrong that it clearly appears deliberate.
It is ok to be wrong, it is a different thing to be wrong in order to mislead other people or to troll.

Burton tried it but it was no good. Reflex bindings have a natural lateral flex from the disc that is what the hinge was brought in to allow.

I feel like the whole disc on my '12 Vitas flexes multidirectionally the way the baseplate attaches to it, even toe-heel, which is trippy at first but cool too.
