What makes an internet forum

I remember when the internet first came out. Ohhh how crude compared to now but back then it was as is today technology extreme. As the internet grew so did things like internet forums. In the beginning you couldn't trust them, yet alone the internet. But as time went on and the www technology improved so did the need for obtaining valid information on just about any topic and some of those specific forums served that channel.

Back when I first got into snowboarding internet sites I found a site where a bunch of 30+ people could chill. We conversed over a decent period of time. We liked our forum cause it didnt have all the punk kids in it as the rest of the site did. As time went on one of the mods who was also an active member suggested a "meet". Seemed like a good idea. When I first took up snowboarding I needed to learn more about it. First step was the internet. I simply searched for snowboarding information and there it was. Who knew there was such a thing as an internet community of snowboarders. I wasnt much for internet stuff other than a source for information. So curiousity killed the cat and I joined a snowboarding community.

Your 46...and you snowboard??

Back when I was 14 there was no such thing as snowboarding. I was a skier and I raced locally. As I grew up during the years there was never any age limit to skiing. It was commonly accepted that skiing was for everyone regardless of age. You could be on the mountain with your older siblings, your parents and even grandparents.

As my life changed skiing was a thing of the past. When someone gets older, gets married, has kids the fun hobbies in life will be put on hold or at least...

Perhaps the most beautiful colors in the world

I love the Fall. Even though snowboarding plays a major role in my yearly life I continue to appreciate the four seasons. Today is my unofficial ending of Summer and another great one indeed. I can tell Fall is approaching because I can stand in the sun all day long and not get burned. The green we had for the past three months is now looking dull and leaves are changing.

The northeast is know for its Fall leaf colors. I photograph them big time and will have lots of pics to show....
