Clinic Day!

Posted 01-08-2012 at 12:04 AM by NWBoarder

Today was fun. It wasn't the best conditions, and it wasn't the worst. The sun poked out a little, and some snow fell as well. The groomers were mostly soft, and the moguls weren't over my head yet. However, the hill was PACKED. You would have thought that it was a blower, tits deep, pow day with how many people were there. Seriously, every lot was full. There was nowhere to park if you didn't know where to go. Thankfully, I got there and found a spot and made it to my clinic just before they left.

As for the clinic, well, the last one was better. I figure that's cause the last one I went to the clinicians were both boarders and incredibly talented ones at that. Today however, the clinician was mainly a skier, who knows how to ride, but only does so when he's called upon. Oh, and he claimed to be injured. But I digress. The main point here is that even with a not-so-great cliniician, I still had a lot of fun.

I guess the big thing for me now will be to see if I can put all of this newfound teaching knowledge to use. I'll find out on Wednesday. That's when they give me four kids ranging in age from 8-12, and tell me to teach them. Luckily I was told that they are level 2, so they're not total noobs, just little Groms. I'm stoked to stoke out some kids on the best sport ever! Now if only Winter would show up and give me a damn pow day. Life would be grand, and snowy.
