bad idea to buy 05 hatchet? - Snowboarding Forum

There's an 05 hatchet up for sale, aside from condition concerns, is it a bad idea to buy a board that is 3-4 years old?

well right nowit's at 80 bucks with like 40 shipping. I think that's already toeing the line of what it's worth.

I have the black/neon orange 159 of the 05/06. I love it. For $120 total as long as it's in good condition I'd say go for it.

what's your weight man? I was looking for a 156, but this board for sale is a 159. Yeah $120 is totally worth it, but the 08 boards that I can find are like $180-220. So once you go over like 140, you might as well buy a new 08 one.

Now I'm about 240. When I bought it I was closer to 215 or so. It's got a pretty wide waist from what I remember which was originally what caught my eye on it. It still rides well for me and I put a lot of days on it in 05/06.
