Stomp pad on carbonium?

Has anyone put a stomp pad on a carbonium top sheet? Did it stay attached?

I don't need one but it's a nice luxury, but if it's gonna come off later because water got under it and between the adhesive then I won't bother.

Oh and this tread can be open to any stomp pad questions. I don't mind.

I like all input.

I've heard the exact same thing. I also heard snow doesn't stick to carbonium like it does to a slick top sheet. But I've only been using it in my summer backyard jib park thingy. My mountain should open in a week or two.

ETM. That's a neat trick. Never heard that one.

I haven't needed a stomp pad but there are times they may have helped. Like the idiots riding with you fall over and you need evasive maneuvers. You can do it without the pad but it's easier with.

That said, the carbonium is better than slick topsheets. Not as good as a real stomp pad but good enough.

I've messed around with my friends and talked so much shit about their stomp pads. That said I just bought the spikey dakine ones

DAKINE Pyramid Studs - Free Shipping at REI.com

To stick on a K2 WWW. I'm going up Sunday and I'm trying to force myself to ride switch all day. was thinking the spikes will help me mess around and ride one footed (to force my right foot to get used to steering). We'll see. I might stick it on there for now

Hi JDang - how did those Pyramid Studs work out? I have a set at home that I'm thinking of mounting to my Raptor, but I'm afraid they will just fall off.

Has anyone had much sucess with the Pyramids on Carbonium?
Or a regular stomp pad on the Carbonium?

I've always used a pad, mostly to clear snow off my boot before I strap in, also when traversing the flats. Seems wierd to go without.

Never really understood the hate for stomp pads. Who cares? They're not required, but if they make your life easier then go for it. I'm probably gonna throw one on my Charlie Slasher soon because that damn top sheet is slicker than goose shit - especially when your boot treads are packed with snow, which if you're riding a Charlie, they are.

I haven't actually ridden my new Raptor yet. Getting ready for a trip to Whitefish next week, so will try then.

I've always used a stomp pad mainly to scrape the snow off my boots to keep it from getting caked in the bindings. Also Whitefish has a nice T-Bar, so a stomp could be handy on the T...
