help choosing a snowboard
Hello fellow snowboarders,
I'd like some advice regarding choice of board and mainly sizing.
Here's some basic stats:
Male, 80KG, 177cm, 44-45 shoe-size
Intermediate skills, 75% on pistes, 25% off piste, french & swiss alps.
I don't do any park activities, nor daredevil bombing or anything like that.
I would like to get into buttering and simple jumps this season and perhaps get into some powder (conditions permitting).
I guess I'm looking for a "do-it-all" all-mountain board and have been looking at different boards and find the K2 Raygun very interesting.
I'm considering a 159/160 but would love to have some advice. Also, whether i should consider the wide version.
Also, i'm open to other board suggestions, e.g. Burton in similar category as the Raygun.
Thanks in advance
Shoe size 45 is 11.5 US, that what i ride and i am on a wide board.
The 159/160 sounds a bit too big for ur size and weight.
I'm scaling down from a 167 Burton King (Camber) to a 162W Skate Banana.
(im 20cm taller and 25 kg heavier then u tho)
Cant comment on the Raygun.
if you can get an arbor blacklist 157 that would fill your needs nicely
Burton custom is their all round board, would be a good choice.
Also consider Sherlock, very good in powder and trees, pretty good on groomers a bit weak on icy slopes.
Thanks for the good advice.
