I just got my new Rome Artifact 1985 in and when I was bolting on my bindings I noticed the tail and nose are at noticeably different heights. The Artifact as everyone knows is supposed to be a a true twin tip, so this seems like a manufactures defect to me. Being that this is their first reverse camber board I can see more reason to think that it could be a defect, but I could be wrong. From the pictures below you can see that the nose and tail have about 3/4" difference in height. To rule out any difference in height caused by the board sitting uneven on the desk, I put my hand on the top of the board to ensure that the measurements are accurate for both the nose and tail. Let me know what you think. If you also have a Rome Artifact 1985 please check you board and post pictures.
It won't let me post a direct link to the image because I don't have enough posts yet. Copy and past the link below to view. If you have enough posts please insert it into the thread.

hmm, im going to assume its how they were made, but i am not positive..im going to check there measurements and see if i can find anything for you
your rocker looks pretty even under each binding, so im not sure if it would be worth sending it back. they are supposed to be identical. maybe someone else can chime in and say if its worth sending back, i say not. Last edited by jmacphee9; 12-17-2008 at 12:58 AM. |
