Rome 390: Ankle strap hard to ratchet in

These bindings are great once I am strapped in.

However it's the strapping in that is hard for me, because the inside rubber strap (the one that you clip on) isn't long enough, so I really have to push hard to get the outer end into the ratchet to start clicking. Is it like this for anyone else? The inner rubber strap is already locked in all the way to the end, and I still have a little trouble.

There are 3 places to screw in the ankle strap - forward (soft), middle (medium), and back (max support). Right now they are in the middle, as per what the shop tech set them at. Is anyone using the front spot? I'm thinking of trying this just to make strapping in easier, but I am afraid I might lose support if I am bombing down the hill.

are you using the S/M or L/XL bindings, i have the L/XL with a size 10 boot and have no problem strapping in. the ankle straps definately should be long enough to reach to the other side and strap in, cant possibly see where you're having probs. and just so i know what your talking about..are you talking about the outer rubber strap that you can set to pull your strap away from your bindings when you destrap? cus thats the only thing i can see that would give you a hard time strapping in if you have that set too tight.

I have S/M bindings with size 9.5 K2 T1 boots.

The inner strap (the one with the clip) is extended all the way to the end, so I don't have any more slack.

My problem is when I sit down to strap in, I have to push really hard just to get it to click, and after that I only have about 5 clicks until it's fully tight.

Lol captain obvious :P

I have a 10.5 boot and the l/xl rome arsenals and my boot fits fine, so i would guess that you need to get the L binding also. However, maybe you can order straps from a large binding and then put it on your Medium?

9.5 is the absolute HIGHEST size for s/m. l/xl work from size 9 and up. You're right smack in the middle of the size chart.

Hahah fuck my life

Anyone know if it is possible to use the ankle straps from the large binding on my medium binding?

Call or email Rome. They'll probably send you longer ladders which you could use to substitute for the short ladders.
