Would you buy a board that you haven't tried out? - Snowboarding Forum

I was wondering if you were buy a board that you have not tried out from a buddy or haven't demoed. I am not talking about just randomly listening to some store's person or a random person on the forum raving about this one board. If you have done your research and have read many reviews on it, would you get it?

Definitely.

I did about two months of research before I bought my Rome Agent.

Take into consideration how and what you ride, your height, weight, budget, etc. as well as reviews.

yup ...i did that....researched and purchased...never rode the board before...love it btw

spent at least 5 months researching boards and checking the agent before i got it
and now i ride it at least once a week and im so glad i got it.

Absolutely. It's just not possible (or practical) to demo everything of interest, especially with the alpine boards that I ride.

Oh yes, Just make sure that the proper research is put into figuring out what you want.

Im so glad i have my solomon surface, great ride, perfect flex, no troubles with anything. I just looked at all the reviews I could find and the specs, wouldnt change my board.

I did the same exact thing. Even got the agent too. Love everything about it.

Which year's Agent did you guys pick up? I got a buddy who got the 07/08 Agent when it was on sale last season.

Yup bought my Never Summer SL-R without ever having ridden a Rocker board before. But like the others said i had done several months of research reading any and every article/review/forum post on the internet about it.
