Hey Guys
Need some advice on beginner-intermediate boards. Looking at getting two boards, one each for my mate and myself. We are the same ability and build etc so we'll be able to swap between the two. We're good on greens and mellow blues but still working up the steeper blues (especially when icy) in Auz/NZ. We're heading to Austria in Jan. Haven't ventured into the park yet but will be this time round. So looking for all-mountain boards that we can progress on but will still be able to use as we get better. Prob a good idea to get two boards that offer the good stuff for advancing (easy turn, no catching, stable etc) but each have their own special feature/tech.
Been reading numerous blogs and reviews and narrowed it down to the 2013 K2 Raygun, 2014 Yes Basic and 13/14 Ride Machete. Alternatives to the Raygun would be the HappyHour and TurboDream but these might be too advanced??
Leaning towards the Raygun and Basic at 156 and pairing these with Union Forces or Missions.
Have had mixed reviews on the Skate Banana which I was first considering but half say the magtraction is overrated and slows the board down and can be a bit unstable.
If you could choose two boards at the beginner-intermediate level that will have a bit of life to them, offer the good stuff for advancing but are unique in their riding style, which would it be and why? Also any other boards that we should consider?
Cheers
