I have a question for you guys/gals. I am 185 and with a size 13 boot. I ride 32 boots so the footprint is usually smaller than most brands. My friend works at a shop and got me cost on a rome mod 156. I have 09 rome 390 bindings for it. Last night I fitted everything on the board and ducked my feet properly to my angles. I ride like 25 on front and like -20 on back. The boards waist width is 253. My feet hang over about an inch. Dependendent on how I look at it. Do you personally think this is to much? I am coming from a slow, big and heavy burton king snowboard. I'm keeping that for my powder board. I really wanted a park and jib board. I can spin 540's with that other heavy 2x4 but I wanted a really good park board. Do you think this setup would work good for me. The board is going to be for park and jib only as I will be using the burton for pow. The weight range of the mod 156 is like 125-185 and usually you want to go for a smaller board for freestyle right? I am so use to my huge 162 that I can't wait to get on a more nimble/pressable board. Let me know what you guys think of my setup and my toe hang.
Do you think this board will be stable on big jumps. Does anyone else have toe drag like this and does it bother you. I have to literally tilt the board 90 degrees in my living room floor for my toes to touch but I realize its alot different on the angled hill.
Sounds like u got a good setup. i have a 157 nitro all mountain board and it is great in the park. you dont really need a park borad to be good in the park. i have ridden an all mountain board for about 2 years and have nothing but ride park and people stil recognize my steez and style. just do what feels right for you. dont try to ride a board that doesnt fit you or you will end up just being very uncomfortable.
